‘Walk like a Pilgrim’ for three fabulous charities – April 2024
Our Senior Civil Engineer Dan Martin and Civil and Pavement Engineer Jorden Irwin have challenged themselves to walk the Pilgrims’ Way – a toe-blistering 250km (155 mile) walk.
The Pilgrims’ Way is an historic route in England that has been travelled by pilgrims for centuries. It stretches from Winchester in Hampshire to the shrine of Thomas Becket at Canterbury Cathedral in Kent. The route is associated with pilgrimage to the shrine of Saint Thomas Becket at Canterbury Cathedral, one of the most important religious destinations in medieval England.
Setting off from Winchester on 19th April, with the aim of completing this challenge in 7 days, Dan and Jorden are walking from Winchester to Canterbury via Rochester and finishing at Canterbury Cathedral.
Jorden and Dan will be carrying all the supplies and kit they need to complete their expedition.
Fundraising for three wonderful charities is the motivation behind this awesome endeavour, with each charity having a poignant reason for being chosen.
