Meet Andrew Thompson – Architect
Say hello to Andrew, one of our long-standing team members and our talented in-house Architect. If you get the chance to work with him, you’ll quickly see just how much experience, creativity, and dedication he brings to every project.
Andrew first joined INVVU back in 2009, bringing with him early experience from his time as a Part 1 Architectural Technician with John Floydd. Since then, he’s grown into a key figure within the team, known for his thoughtful, grounded approach and his eye for design across industrial, commercial, residential, and transport infrastructure projects.
What’s especially inspiring about Andrew is his unconventional route to qualification. After completing his Part II, he stepped away from formal study for nearly 15 years, dedicating himself fully to developing his craft in the real world. Last month (March 2025) after years of hands-on experience and technical mastery, he passed his Part III and became a fully qualified Architect, registered with the Architects Registration Board.
Andrew is someone who truly thrives on collaboration. He loves the variety of projects at INVVU and the way our team works together to make life easier for clients.
As he puts it:
“I enjoy working closely with the mix of specialists we have at INVVU. Having the ability to problem-solve together early on in the design process allows for the smooth delivery of projects for our clients. Working within such a friendly, approachable, and cohesive team is another key benefit.”
Outside of work, Andrew swaps buildings for boats, sailing dinghies at a national level and teaching others at his local sailing club.
Dedicated, down-to-earth, and always up for a challenge, Andrew is a huge part of what makes INVVU who we are.
