Now that James has completed his Master’s degree, he is officially a fully qualified Structural/Civil Engineer.
James initially joined us from the University of Bath for a year-long industrial placement as part of his five-year ‘sandwich’ Master’s in Civil Engineering. After returning to his studies, he continued working with INVVU part-time, assisting with drawings, designs, report writing, and site survey supervision. Having completed his academic studies in the summer of 2022, James is now back with INVVU full-time.
Looking ahead, James aims to further develop his expertise in detailed structural design, take on management responsibilities. He has already completed and received his chartership from the CIOB, and is currently progressing his application for Chartership with ICE.
James says he’s incredibly grateful for the learning opportunities INVVU has provided, describing us as “a brilliant company to work for.” (We feel lucky to have him on board!)
A passionate football fan, James supports both Liverpool and Bristol City. He has also played competitively for Clevedon Town U18s and Somerset FA county U18s. In his younger years, he competed in cycle speedway, winning both regional and British championships—he even has a British Cycling jersey to show for it.
