Daniel Martin

Daniel has over 15 years of experience working in both the public and private sectors specialising in drainage and highways. Starting as a draughtsman, Daniel has an extensive knowledge of AutoCAD and associated software including Civil 3D and Infodrainage. The transition from draughtsman to engineer was supported with the completion of a BSc (Hons) in Civil Engineering at the University of East London, the knowledge gained aiding to him becoming a specialist in SuDS. Daniel has extensive residential experience which includes S278, S38, S104 and OWC applications as well as various EA applications.

Over the last few years, he has developed his knowledge and experience in Project Management and Processes. Daniel joined INVVU as a Senior Civil Engineer in January 2023 and in October 2024 was appointed to the position of Head of Civil Engineering, and is keen to pass his knowledge and insight on to the next generation of Engineers. The multidisciplinary nature of INVVU and the ability to work across various sectors was the clincher when deciding to work for INVVU.

Also, INVVU’s commitment to career progression/development, and the organisational culture of prioritising the health and well-being of employees above all else, was also a strong draw for him. Daniel has recently been accepted on to an MSc at Brunel University studying Flood and Coastal Engineering. This course is accredited by the ICE and CIWEM of which Daniel is a member.

When not working, Daniel enjoys spending time with friends and family, has an allotment, and plays rugby for Cranbrook RFC.
